I absolutely loved this film growing up, and I acknowledge it's still a good film today. I just don't have much interest in it personally anymore... Hasn't stuck with me the way that Monster Squad has.

Awesome stuff and one of my all-time favorite vampire flicks.

Saw this with RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD at the drive-in back in the day.

Agreed. From what I remember I enjoyed it's sequel as well, but so far I haven't been able to find it on DVD for anything less than an arm or leg.

Underrated by many horror fans. A lot of people think of it as a joke, or cringe at the thought of it, but to be honest, it was one of the best vampire films of the decade. Well written and great FX. The scene that still sticks with me with the glowing red LEDs in the window. I was never frightened by it, it was just funny to me as a kid. Classic.

7/10

If your kids are getting into horror movies this is one of the first they should see. I like this movie, but I don't "love" it like most people do. I recently traded my dvd of this for Toxic Avenger 4 (come on it was the 2 disc unrated directors cut and it was autographed!)

Has anyone heard the "pirate commentaries" yet? They made me appreciate Fright Night even more than I did before (and I've loved it for almost as long as I can remember).

Are they really as good as you make them out to be?
