Definitely can't wait to pick up the remastered DVDs on May 19. Here's hoping Synapse will release more titles.

I hope so as well, but I know that these are the last of what they saved from Panik House, and they have no other Toei releases on the schedule for this year. In fact, their only Asian release on the schedule for the rest of this year is The Living Dead in Tokyo Bay, which is supposed to come out in October or November.

However Don May made mention a month or so back that they had just acquired 27 films from a studio, and they're waiting for the right time to make the announcement. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for either Shintoho or Wakamatsu Pro, but who knows, it may not even be a Japanese studio.

I would think the cost of acquiring licenses to 27 Toei films would be huge... doesn't seem likely i'm afraid.

Can't wait for this. Anyone know why these Japanese studios are so expensive to get rights from?
